Meet Davidson, the gentle giant that stole our hearts.
Davidson is an approximately 5-7 year old Bulldog mix that was saved from euthanasia from a local animal shelter. His sad eyes were enough to land him a soft comfy bed in a foster home. However, poor Davidson was quickly noted to have large masses on him and an uncontrolled cough. Quick diagnosis from our vet determined the masses were just lipomas but one was so large it was causing him pain and impacting his movement. So, we had it removed for his comfort. Then, Davidson was diagnosed with heartworms. A completely preventable disease but costly to repair. Davidson has received his heartworm treatment as of 11/8/2024 and is healed up, ready for adoption!
Davidson was once a terrified shaking boy and is now an affectionate log of love. While he is still scared of getting in the car, he will slowly warm up to new people and places. Once comfy this boy is a shadow! He does amazing with other calm dogs too!
